New Mexico (Spring 2024)

In early March, we ventured out west to collect fluorite specimens from a variety of historic fluorite-fluorspar and barite-barium mines in central to western New Mexico.

Nevada (Winter 2024)

We explored a variety of historic (and modern, thanks to Angelo Gold Ashanti) gold mines in and around Beatty, Nevada on our hunt for fluorite from the American Southwest. This field trip also included some tourist side quests to Death Valley and the Hoover Dam!
